LaParis is a St. Louis native and has lived in NYC for over 10 years. Her love of flowers and creating started at her family’s balloon shop, Balloons Unlimited. Although she worked mostly with balloons she was always interested in flowers. With the desire to learn another skill while studying Fashion Marketing, she decided to work at a flower shop. This is where she would learn the foundation of floristry and the inner workings of the flower business. In 2015, LaParis started Brooklyn Blooms in her BedStuy apartment with the desire to fill the void in the events industry with her funky and bold style. Since then she has designed on Caribbean beaches, landed national campaigns, created for countless weddings and events, and fulfilled thousands of daily orders. She has recently expanded, opening a larger location on Fulton Ave in the Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood.

For as long as Caroline Kaplan can remember, her love for design, business, organization, and creativity has been prominent in her life. From creating her first website for a school project in third grade, to starting a phone case business with friends in 6th grade where she managed expenses and made the group business cards, she always had an entrepreneurial spirit within her. After her 15th birthday, she decided to launch her own company, at the time called "Caroline's Kid's Concierge," offering organization and planning services for all kid-related activities. She later decided to change the name and shift the focus from planning kid's activities and wish lists to graphic design for all ages. In 2017, Task Me was born. Task Me quickly took off into the Bar/Bat Mitzvah scene, and now, years later, she is known to many as a "Bat Mitzvah presentation company" and her signature collages are literally called "Task Me's."

When Amanda Zuckerman went shopping with her mother to furnish her freshman year dorm room at Washington University in St. Louis in 2009, they went to more than five different stores to find stylish twin XL bedding and other products. The Zuckermans realized there wasn’t one place to easily find everything needed to make her dorm feel personal and homey, and that it would be easier to shop online. Their frustrating shopping experience would inspire Dormify, now a multimillion-dollar company headquartered in Manhattan.
